As of April 2025, Centinel Spine has begun installing autoclavable trackers into our Instrument Sets for the purpose of tracking the location of Sets across the United States.
The addition of these trackers is to better Centinel Spine's ability to support our distributors and improve communications on the location and the movement of Instrument Sets in the field. Initially, these autoclavable trackers will be installed only in:
- Gen2 Set (prodisc C Vivo / SK)
- prodisc L
The trackers are provided by SMADE who have created, “The first autoclave-resistant tracking device, designed for precise location and utilization monitoring”. SMADE has performed extensive testing to ensure their autoclavable tracker meets all required government regulations. These autoclavable trackers have already been installed in sets for use at both Stryker and Alphatec Spine.
