With the first half of 2025 now officially over, Centinel Spine can report approval of 70 levels of lumbar total disc replacement with prodisc L, so far this year. This is a significant acceleration in the number of approvals as compared to the previous year—which totaled 88 in all of 2024.
These approvals were accomplished through Centinel Spine's Patient Access Program, or PAP. The program was designed as a complimentary concierge service to support practices in obtaining approval for on-label lumbar total disc replacement cases. It achieves this by:
- Verifying Insurance Benefits and/or the Need for Pre-Authorization
- Providing Pre-Authorization Guidance
- Submitting Pre-Authorization Requests and Denial Appeals to Insurers
- Submitting Post-Procedure Claim Denial Appeals
- Providing Supportive Reimbursement Resources
For the PAP, Centinel Spine has partnered with MCRA, a leading global CRO & advisory firm with deep industry experience. Through these combined efforts, the PAP program has obtained positive coverage determinations for over 245 levels from 2022 through 2024.
