Important Updates to prodisc C Vivo & prodisc C SK Instrument Set Nomenclature

Ashlyn Miller

The first commercial prodisc C Vivo was implanted in September 2022, followed by prodisc C SK in November 2022. Since then, Centinel Spine has seen unprecedented demand and adoption of both the prodisc C Vivo & prodisc C SK technologies.

To meet the demand of our customers, Centinel Spine released multiple iterations of instruments sets capable of conducting a prodisc C Vivo and/or a prodisc C SK procedure. The nomenclature for these sets has evolved over the past year and tends to vary depending on the audience. To ensure we are all aligned and speaking the same language when we speak about these sets, the Set Names for each set configuration has been revamped. The table below calls out the specific names that will be used moving forward, along with identifying features of each set.

The following marketing assets (available digitally on the Mobile Hub) are also available to assist in clinical success with each set:

  • prodisc Cervical Set Comparison Chart
  • Set Maps for Each Set
  • Surgical Technique Guides for Each Set
